In grade 4 we are working hard to learn multiplication and division math facts. It is a lot of hard work and concentration. Reading is fun! We are reading Tall-tales. It is interesting to make up stories about make believe people, or animals that do terrific events. On some afternoons the class listens to legends. While they are listening they draw pictures about something they heard happening in the legend. Mostly the legends are of Iroquois origin. This is our first year trying speech contests. It is a lot of work, but it is rewarding to see students speaking on topics they are interested in.
