Information for Teachers

The package you will receive contains the following documents:

One "study" and one "experimental judging form that you may wish to use for individual projects, your entire class or "whole school" fairs. The judging forms are simplified versions of the ones used at the Regional Fair.
A quota list, showing the number of projects allowed per school.
A Registration Form, for students entering the Regional Fair.
A cover page for written reports, for students entering the Regional Fair.
A 'Requesting Consideration' form, which outlines the special awards given at the Regional Fair, which students may want to work towards.
Student Information Sheets: We would appreciate if you could go over this material with the students who are interested in doing a project, and particularly, with students entering the Regional Fair. Feel free to reproduce & distribute copies.

Some students have been disappointed in previous years because their project was not admitted into the Regional Science Fair. Please discuss the Safety, Animals and Construction sections with the students you are sending to the fair.
If your time is limited but you still wish to include some of your students , you may wish to encourage your students to complete a Science Fair project as an independent study.
