    • Aquatic Center:
    Cornwall PROJECT 2000 is a aquatic (pool) facility to serve the City of Cornwall and surrounding area. The City of Cornwall Municipal Council has endorsed this project as the Millennium Project and Council has formed a Committee made up of local citizens, Municipal Councillors, and City staff.

    Type of Facility
    The final details have not been decided however at the minimum, it will contain a eight lane, 25 meter pool with some leisure components. The 25 meter tank provides for competitive opportunities, and the leisure components will attract and enhance participants' enjoyment of the facility.

            Aquatic Centre 2000

         The new Aquatic Centre will have:
    • 8 Lanes, 25 meter pool
    • Children's wading pool
    • Two-story water slide
    • 1 and 3 meter diving boards
    • Therapy pool
    • Male, female, and family change areas
    • Multi-purpose room with kitchen
    • Viewing area
    • Facilities all house within a 30,000 sq ft addition to Cornwall's Civic Complex
    		      The new Aquatic Center will:
    • Be handicap accessible
    • Replace the aging Kinsmen Centre
    • Save on operating and maintenance costs
    • Provide new and more programs for everyone
    • Help attract new developments to our area
    • Enhance our St. Lawrence river waterfront
    • Celebrate the
      NEW MILLENNIUM!
