Description: The First Nations Health Management Institute (HMI) is a new organization based in Akwesasne. The Institute was established to provide supportive services to other First Nations that are in various stages of developing their own health care organizations. The mission of HMI is to build and sustain the capacity of First Nations to manage and deliver quality health services at the community level through networking. Networking will increase their access to useful information, expertise, and management tools.
