Due to high volume of applications, please submit completed application at least 3 - 4 months prior to your event or the date you need the money by. The applications get scheduled on a "first come-first served" basis, and no group will be "bumped" to schedule a group which may need the money sooner, but submitted their application later. Also, please make sure there are several contact numbers on your application in order to reach you. If all the numbers are called, and we still haven't been able to talk to someone, your application will be passed over until a later date.

All applicants may only apply ONCE per year. If you have had a previous date within the past year, please do not apply again. Your application will be denied. Guidelines for approval are in the process of being updated. Please check back here for updated guidelines and restrictions.

Also, when coming in to "work" the Bingo for your group or organization, please be aware that the studios are pretty small. It tends to get overcrowded pretty easily. So we are asking everyone to please remember that you only need to send ONE (1) person, over the age of 18, to "work" the Bingo.

Please also know that once you have been notified of a date for your group or organization to come in and "work" the bingo, it is YOUR responsibility then to make sure you or someone shows up to work the bingo. No further reminders or notices will be given. We do try to make a courtesy call and remind you the day of or the day before, but if you cannot be reached and do not hear any messages left for you and you forget to send someone, you have then forfeited the money, and will be unable to reapply for a period of one (1) year. We count on you, the applicants, to come in on the date of your bingo. If you do not show up, bingo is either held up, or cancelled for the night completely. So please make a note of it. We realize that your date of notification may be a couple of months prior, and that is a long time to remember, but again, it is not our responsibility to remind you.

Please remember: Persons who come in to witness the bingo for their group or organization must be 18 years of age or older. Also, please do not bring your children with you. Anyone who disregards this rule will be sent home and disqualified from receiving any bingo 50/50 funding for their group or organization for a period of one (1) year. No exceptions. Nia:wen.

1) Person playing Radio Bingo must be at least 18 years of age
2) Persons winning at Radio Bingo must be 18 years of age to claim their prize. The winning card must be brought to the radio station to claim your prize. No card, no prize, no exceptions. Winners are paid by check. Checks cannot be exchanged for cash.
3)The winning card must be in one piece. Do not cut the card, or mark over the free space.
4) When a person gets a Bingo, they must call the station at 518-358-3426 or 3427, or 613-575-2100 or 2101, give the operator the number in free space and the numbers that you "Bingo-ed" on. The color of the card will be verified at this time. Your name and phone # will be taken at this time, also. Please realize that we use serial numbers for the cards, so only those serial numbers for that particular day will be honored.
5) Prizes may be claimed on the Wednesday following the Bingo, from 12 noon to 4 pm, unless otherwise announced. Prize money can then be picked up during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 8 m - 4 pm on any day after that. CKON staff deliver only on Fridays, only to the infirm or elderly, and only in the territory of Akwesasne.
6) The prize must be picked up within 2 weeks after you win or the prize is forfeited.
7) Bingo rules are read at 6:55 pm sharp. Game # 1 starts at approximately 7:05 pm.
8) Bingo will be cancelled for the following reasons only:
a) Power outage at the radio station
b) Power outage in any one of the 4 districts of Akwesasne which are: (1) Snye, (2) St. Regis, (3) Cornwall Island, (4) that which is considered the US portion of Akwesasne and the Southern District.
c) Holiday (notification one week in advance)
d) Failure of Radio Bingo Equipment.
e) Major community emergency or disaster in Akwesasne
f) Any emergency deemed appropriate by the Akwesasne Communications Society along with the Bingo Committee.
g) If Bingo is cancelled, it will be held the following Wednesday at 7 pm, unless otherwise announced.
9) CKON Radio Bingo committee is not responsible for personal telephone outages or failure of personal radio equipment. Once a game is closed, it is closed. No other winners will be taken for that game.
10) Winners' names will be read after each game.
11) Bingo numbers will be called 17-20 seconds apart unless there is a possibility of a winner, then the caller will call the numbers at least 25 seconds apart.
12) The regular games are all straight-line Bingo or 4- outside corners. Inside 4 corners never count as a Bingo. Specials will be announced at the beginning of the game as to what the special game is - for example Little Joe, Letter X, Double Bingo, etc.
13) Prizes, game numbers and structures are determined and sanctioned by the CKON Radio Bingo Committee.
14) No Bingo cards will be given in lieu of cash. No cash exchange will be made for CKON Radio Bingo certificates.
15) Cards may not be exchanged after purchase.
16) All winnings are paid in Canadian funds, unless otherwise stated.
17) Bingo numbers called in the Mohawk language are a courtesy, dependant upon the availability of a Mohawk caller.
18) The CKON Radio Bingo Committee will address any suggestions or problems with the operation of Radio Bingo.

19) We are now streaming online. There is a delay of about 10-15 seconds from the actual air time to the time you will hear it online. We do not recommend that you attempt to play radio bingo using your computer. We are not responsible if you use your computer to play and you can't call in on time.
