BEFORE you delete your software, remeber to do the following

Back-up your e-mail

If you wish to save the e-mail that you already have, you can do two things:

1. Resend it to yourself. This is a long process however if you have a lot of e-mail.



2. Copy it to another location, and then copy it back latter. This process is much faster, but their is a disadvantage. The program must be set up the same way as it was before you delete the mail.

Back-up your bookmarks

If you wish to have the same bookmarks after you re-install the software, you must copy the file called "bookmark.htm" from the Netscape directory. You can then copy it back when you have re-installed the software.

NOTE: This same procedure can be used when you are installing a new Netscape. Simply copy the bookmark file into the new Netscape directory.
