The KIDS on the BLOCK form the core of a unique and exciting educational program - a program that combines an awareness of differences with a bright and captivating art form, Bunraku, an ancient Japanese style of puppetry which allows the audience to see the puppeteers who are dressed completely in black.
The fact that they are puppets allows for a unique and effective brand of communication, and children are encouraged to become fully involved with the presentation.
One of the most exciting parts of a performance is the question and answer session at the end of each script. This opportunity for dialogue and the development of awareness, understanding and positive attitudes are important factors in accepting persons as individuals regardless of their uniqueness and/or differences.
